Wisps of steam rise like tiny spectres of autumn mist, releasing flavours that gradually envelop the senses. Then, waves of bliss cascade. By the gallon. A cartload full. That first bite of your favourite dish should evoke a sensation like this, as food tastes exceptional everywhere in South Tyrol. Especially in Val Senales. That’s why my hotel team endeavours to captivate you with their culinary expertise, using premium local ingredients and crafting dishes. With delicacies that can be found nowhere else. With nearly-forgotten recipes and a rich food and drink culture that is worth celebrating. 

 

A hotel with half-board in the Val Senales mountains…

Consider yourself fortunate if you’ve been searching for this and have arrived at my hotel. My rooms are a sanctuary for regional cuisine enthusiasts – a retreat for those who appreciate authentic, honest, locally-sourced fare. It all starts with breakfast: organic cheese, apple juice, free-range eggs and crisp vegetables sourced from neighbouring farms. Freshly baked bread, milk, muesli, fruit, butter and jam await, along with authentic Italian coffee brewed from our portafilter machine. Upon returning from your Val Senales mountain adventures, my hotel staff welcomes you with a traditional South Tyrolean afternoon snack, reminiscent of the good old days. In the good room – the ‘Stuben’. With coffee and homemade cakes – a prelude to our culinary extravaganza in the evening. Maestro Günther Veith guides you through a culinary journey, one course at a time. The choice is all yours. 

Overnight guests at the Oberraindlhof enjoy half board with breakfast, afternoon coffee and a multi-course dinner in the evening. We are happy to welcome outside guests from Thursday to Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm + bank holidays and Sundays also from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. Wednesdays are closed.
