Enjoy your meal!

Not all inns are created equal. Especially not in south tyrol.

Claiming the title of a genuine Südtiroler Gasthaus is no small feat, and we’re proud to do so.

Just check out our pots and pans. Because anything that ends up inside must be of the highest calibre. Read on to find out exactly what that means and what you can expect from me as a genuine Südtiroler Gasthaus. But be warned, reading it will make you hungry! If you simply can’t wait any longer, I’ll tell you in advance:

My restaurant is open daily except Wednesdays from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and on bank holidays and Sundays also from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. Call +39 0473 679 131 to book your table.

Planning a celebration? Excellent! My courtiers will be happy to help and reserve my best parlours for you. So you can celebrate undisturbed. We are also happy to cater for people with allergies and food intolerances. At the request of many of our guests, the restaurant areas are reserved for two-legged friends, unfortunately dogs are not allowed.

South Tyrol’s culinary soul

Guesthouses and inns are like their own little world. Scratch that – they are a universe themselves. Inside an inn, people laugh and argue, get married, dance and drink. An inn acts as the centre of gravity, the anchor of a whole village. A place where what belongs together comes together. Locals and travellers alike. From near and far. And in the end, it’s always about the food. Because if that isn’t good, everything else falls apart. A few clever bods in the South Tyrolean Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Association (HGV) realised this a few years ago and founded the  ‘Südtiroler Gasthaus’ Group. It’s more than just a pretty label. It’s a genuine commitment. Because everyone who sets foot on a member’s premises should feel it. In taste and in spirit. This is where the culinary soul of South Tyrol resides.

Completely regional and excitingly authentic

Have you ever noticed how every place carries its own distinctive smell? Just as a scent wafts through a region, each region also harbours its own unique taste. Every ingredient, every passed-down recipe has its own history and unmistakable character. What tantalises the taste buds here takes on a completely different essence just a valley over. Members of the Südtiroler Gasthaus group extend a warm invitation to discover these specialities. And celebrate these nuances. With locally-sourced ingredients, authentic recipes, a unique ambiance and genuine hospitality. The Südtiroler Gasthaus group holds themselves to high standards. So you can always count on unwavering quality and culinary excellence. There are also frequent joint initiatives. The traditional Sunday roast, a long-standing favourite served in my charming dining room, has become a beloved institution. Come and sample it for yourself!

The Oberraindlhof is a genuine Südtiroler Gasthaus

The best meat from Val Senales lamb. Top-quality cheese from the Infanglhof farm. Fresh Val Senales apple juice from the Nischlhof and organic eggs from the farmers. Head chef Günther Veith is relentless – ingredients for his Val Senales specialities must be fresh and locally sourced. Then he prepares them just for you. Following the traditions of Val Senales cuisine. Paired with a fine glass of wine, selected by Helmut personally. And with the Oberraindl Trio setting the mood, you’ll realise you’ve found a true South Tyrolean guesthouse in me, the Oberraindlhof. Oh, and one more thing. My historic rooms are perfect for hosting special celebrations, comfortably fitting 25 people.

The Oberraindlhof has been a member of the Südtiroler Gasthaus group since 2014. The restaurant is open daily except Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm; on bank holidays and Sundays additionally from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. Book your table at +39 0473 679 131

Harvest Festival

From 27th of September to 03rd of November

Autumn offers innkeepers a rich abundance of local products from their producers, inviting them to serve creative dishes. The members of the “Südtiroler Gasthaus” group take advantage of this to invite guests to a gastronomic Thanksgiving under the motto " Tales of collaboration between innkeeper and producer". This year, the strong relationship between innkeepers and producers is the focus with the innkeepers transforming these connections into tasty, distinctive dishes. Whether as protagonists on the plate or as tasty accompaniments - there are no limits to the creativity of the cooks.

From Friday, September 27, to Sunday, November 3, 2024, enjoy the autumnal variety of delights at the member establishments of the “Südtiroler Gasthaus” group and look forward to tasty delicacies.

We look forward to seeing you!
