As the deep blue dusk settles over Val Senales, a serene silence descends. My hotel staff extinguish the last of the lights, signalling it’s time to rest for the night. It’s easy to do up here. The fresh alpine air, golden sunlight and, not least, an innate tranquillity bestow blissful dreams upon our guests. I have 29 chambers, rooms, lounges, closets and even something like a suite. You might find yourself nestled in moustachioed Anton’s cobbler workshop, dozing off in the former granary, or enjoying a peaceful slumber in the quaint writing room from 1900. While my farmhouse rooms in the new building may be more contemporary, they’re just as enchanting. And did you know, the wood of the Swiss stone pine from Val Senales has a calming effect on your heart rate?
With a nod to the 1900s and all the modern comforts of today, my 29 rooms are historical treasures, offering unparalleled sanctuary for memorable days in the South Tyrolean Val Senales.
The best beds on a farm belong to the guests. That’s the custom here. Which of my historic chambers and enchanting farmhouse rooms will be your retreat?
Historic rooms
Here, you can sense my ancient soul. In these five old chambers, you can lose yourself in my rich history. Each room carries a unique tale and beckons you on a journey back to 1900. Crafted with meticulous care by my hotel staff, these spaces exude magic from the historic building fabric. Expect impeccable craftsmanship, precious aged wood, natural materials from Val Senales, and the occasional creak of a floorboard. Rest assured, my historic rooms meet the 3-star standards of South Tyrol.
Modern farmhouse rooms
A ‘Zuahäusl’ (annex) is never second best; it’s always a delightful addition. Such is the case here. My farmhouse rooms in the new wing exude warmth without unnecessary frills, promising alpine comfort within generously proportioned spaces. All rooms in this category meet the 4-star standards of South Tyrol. The premium, solid wood furniture has been expertly crafted by a skilled Val Senales master carpenter using indigenous Swiss stone pine. My hosts Andrea and Elisabeth have showcased their talent for creating cosy interiors.
