As the deep blue dusk settles over Val Senales, a serene silence descends. My hotel staff extinguish the last of the lights, signalling it’s time to rest for the night. It’s easy to do up here. The fresh alpine air, golden sunlight and, not least, an innate tranquillity bestow blissful dreams upon our guests. I have 29 chambers, rooms, lounges, closets and even something like a suite. You might find yourself nestled in moustachioed Anton’s cobbler workshop, dozing off in the former granary, or enjoying a peaceful slumber in the quaint writing room from 1900. While my farmhouse rooms in the new building may be more contemporary, they’re just as enchanting.
