The dining room’s sunday roast in der guten Stube. South Tyrol’s outstanding wines in beautiful glasses. People adore me because of my atmosphere, charm and prime location in the centre of Val Senales.

Paper may be patient, but these words carry weight. 

Back in 1912, the moustachioed Anton Raffeiner declared, ‘The thoughts of other people are their own business,’ after making the transition from shoemaker to host. True words that still apply today. However, in a day where anyone may assert anything and it can be read by everyone with a single mouse click or blink of the eye, it’s probably necessary: All of the accolades that my employees have won for their hard work are highlighted on this page. And the feedback from our regular guests, whose constructive criticism is always a priceless catalyst for improvement. Before we delve into toques, forks and memberships, let me give my staff my highest praise: They are only really happy when you are happy with them. They have trouble sleeping otherwise. I’ve personally witnessed it!

The Falstaff recently awarded the Oberraindlhof restaurant 3 forks and 90 points. The review describes us as a small, refined gourmet hotel with a lot of heart. 

Authentic, familiar and personal, exceptionally good service, remarkable wine list and especially lovely atmosphere: this is what Gault & Millau Henris wrote about our house in 2024. We wear the toque with pride!

The Michelin Guide describes our roast lamb and wine list as excellent. The staff are very proud of their Bib Gourmand. This award is only given 8 times in the whole of South Tyrol. 

The Oberraindlhof has been part of the Südtiroler Gasthaus group since 2014. Membership is an unconditional promise of local food, regionality and the preservation of culinary traditions.
