Beautiful and free spirits, early risers and unconventional souls have always felt at home here. And my staff also have something special for those seeking fellowship and unique experiences. If you’re looking for camaraderie and memorable activities, you’ll love our new weekly summer holiday programme.
Experiences
Get active or stay relaxed – you can have it all. With our weekly programme and a museumobil Card that has a lot to offer.
Everyone as they please. Always just what you’re in the mood for. No one has to join Oberraindl’s weekly programme, but everyone can.
Monday in Val SenalesÂ
Let my team take you on a journey to the untamed beauty of the Val di Fosse. Explore the pristine landscapes of the Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park and, if you’re lucky, catch a glimpse of chamois and ibex. Or, set off on a two-and-a-half-hour hike from the pilgrimage church in the ‘Village of Silence’ Madonna di Senales to the Monte degli Angeli monastery. Enjoy a guided tour through the ancient walls. In the evening, there’s ‘cheese, dumplings, bacon’ and ‘great fun’ with the Oberraindlhof Trio at my traditional Tyrolean evening.
Tuesday is hiking day!
Depending on the weather and your level of experience, Martin, our hotel hiking guide, will take you out into the Val Senales mountains. For seasoned mountaineers, the ‘Ötzi Glacier Tour’ to the Ötzi discovery site on the Passo di Tisa at over 3,000 metres, promises to be an unforgettable full-day experience. Alternatively, enjoy a less strenuous but equally breathtaking hike along the Merano High Mountain Trail. Every Tuesday, there’s a convenient shuttle service from the Schrofl car park. You can also opt for guided hikes to the oldest alpine pasture in Tyrol or a cultural and historical tour of Monte Santa Caterina.
Wednesday: Icy adventure or from farm to farm
This experience is for adventurous souls. Join our experienced mountain guides as you embark on a thrilling glacier expedition to ‘conquer’ the glacier tongue of the Ghiacciaio di Giogo Alto. If you’re feeling extra daring, you can even try abseiling down a glacier tongue. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, opt for the ‘Farm-to-Farm Hike.’ Traverse the sunny slopes of Vernago on a circular route from Madonna di Senales through Finale, Ravina and Tisa, passing by charming historic farmhouses along the way (though none can compare to mine, of course), before returning to the starting point. In the evening, my farm staff will spoil you with the "serata italiana", with specialities from Italian cuisine at the buffet.
Out and about with Richard on Thursday
Richard is a great guy. And he knows a lot! Join him on a two-hour hike along a section of the Alta Via di Merano high-alpine trail, starting from Monte Santa Caterina to Sottomonte and enjoy a magical view of the Val Venosta and the Merano region. Afterwards, you have the option to either hike back or use the complimentary public transport available to you as my guest with the GuestPass. A beautiful Thursday hike leads from Maso Corto via Hasenkofel and the Valle Langgrub to Lazaun-Bergmoor. My hotel staff will be happy to tell you more about it when you are here. Maybe even from 5 pm at the famous wine tasting with Helmuth?
Friday goes vertical!
Be brave! Join the experts at the Marchegg climbing garden as they show you the basics of climbing one step at a time. Climbing isn’t just for the young – it’s for everyone seeking their own mountain happiness. Alternatively, join junior boss Benni for a leisurely summit tour, offering more traction and a slower pace. The difficulty level of this hike is tailored to the weather conditions and your hiking experience.
